David McKellar

GM New Zealand

David joined CTM in 2013 as the General Manager for New Zealand as part of CTM’s first overseas acquisition of the well-known Cavalier Travel brand.

David has been in the travel industry for over 24 years, starting as a retail consultant in the UK before moving over to the fast-paced world of corporate travel. When he returned to New Zealand, David worked in the airline and GDS sector before moving back into the travel agency arena, in the IT & online booking tool side of a large corporate travel agency.

After working in the travel space for many years, David is a true believer in the value of customer service and teamwork, which has allowed him to build successful teams that have retained and grown business. Despite spending 16 years in the UK and now sounding English, David is still is a true blue Auckland rugby fan.

Lynn Retter

Head of Operations

Lynn brings over two decades of extensive experience in the travel industry, having worked across independent travel agencies, franchised operations, and global travel organisations in both New Zealand and the UK. Lynn joined CTM in 2007 and brings a wealth of experience to her role.  

As the Head of Operations in New Zealand, Lynn spearheads the day-to-day management with a results-driven approach. Renowned for her commitment to excellence, Lynn boasts a proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service and innovative solutions. Her passion for driving positive and meaningful outcomes underscores her dedication to enhancing the travel experience for clients. 

Brett McVeigh

Head of Account Management

Brett boasts an extensive career spanning over three decades in the New Zealand travel industry during which he has navigated multiple sectors. He commenced his journey in airlines, transitioned into global distribution and reservations systems, and eventually found his niche in corporate travel where he has dedicated the past twenty years, the last decade with CTM.

As Head of Account Management, Brett’s primary goal is to empower his team to excel in strategic account management while also prioritising exceptional customer service and leveraging CTM’s technology to enhance efficiency. Brett places a strong emphasis on cost-saving strategies, guiding his team to identify areas of potential savings and implementing pragmatic measures to achieve them effectively.

Matt Chappell

National Sales Manager

Since joining CTM in 2019, Matt has been instrumental in driving corporate and government business growth throughout New Zealand.

Originally from Christchurch, Matt possesses over 25 years of experience in the travel industry, offering a comprehensive view of its diverse facets, including airlines, hotels, commercial operations, technology, and corporate environments. This multifaceted experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of how various components of the travel ecosystem can synergise to deliver seamless and cost-effective solutions to our customers’ travel programs.

Matt’s philosophy revolves around the importance of active listening to comprehend each customer’s unique requirements. Recognising that every client possesses distinct focuses and objectives within their travel programs, he is committed to crafting tailored solutions that precisely align with their needs.

Aiya Thorpe

Client Value Manager

Aiya joined CTM as an experienced Account Manager with over 17 years of experience in the Government and Corporate Travel Industry. Her expertise spans consulting, operational team management, and account management roles in New Zealand and the UK.

With an analytical approach honed in data-driven environments, Aiya is adept at maximising return on investment and driving process efficiencies to achieve optimal profitability. She excels in cultivating multi-level key stakeholder partnerships, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment of objectives.

Aiya’s extensive travels to over 35 countries across six continents compliment her management approach, offering a unique depth of knowledge and firsthand experience that enhances her strategic perspective and client engagement.

Angela Daji

Client Value Manager

Angela joined CTM in 2017 as a Corporate Travel Consultant, transitioning to Client Value Manager in 2023. With over 20 years of experience in the broader travel industry, Angela has held numerous operational positions, prioritising delivering exceptional customer service and cultivating strong client relationships.

She has worked extensively with various corporate clientele, ranging from SMEs to large global corporations, across multiple sectors, including agriculture, infrastructure, government, education, and health. Angela’s breadth of experience equips her with a deep understanding of the unique needs of each sector and enables her to tailor solutions accordingly.

Angela’s expertise ensures that her clients benefit from the most effective and efficient processes for travellers and travel arrangers. She proactively implements and updates processes to continuously add value to her clients’ travel programs.

Carolyn Jaques

Client Value Manager

With 28 years of experience spanning corporate and retail travel markets, Carolyn has been an invaluable member of the CTM team for over seven years. Her career has spanned various New Zealand and UK tourism businesses, encompassing operations, strategic consultation, group travel, incentives, airline/hotel contracting, implementations, sales, and account management. Additionally, Carolyn has successfully managed her own travel marketing business.

Leveraging her extensive expertise, Carolyn collaborates closely with her clients to uncover cost-reduction strategies, pinpoint process improvement opportunities, and address evolving business needs. She prioritises nurturing long-term relationships, drawing upon her vast knowledge and networks to empower clients in achieving their objectives.

Debbie Wilson

Client Value Manager

Debbie has over three decades of experience in the travel industry, having begun her journey in 1994 with the national carrier, Air New Zealand. Over the years, she has seamlessly transitioned through various roles within the airline industry and the Travel Management Company (TMC) sphere, encompassing Sales, Account Management, Implementations, and Business Analysis.

With a rich background in travel management, Debbie has cultivated extensive expertise in account management, particularly in the corporate and government sectors.

Debbie recently returned to the travel sector following a tenure at The Treasury, where she served as a Senior Facilities Advisor overseeing their comprehensive AoG travel program, including their migration to CTM.

Driven by a passion for providing proactive Client Value Management, Debbie is deeply committed to enhancing the customer experience. She is renowned for her ability to build strong, customer-focused relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

A proud Wellingtonian, Debbie finds joy in her beloved capital city’s vibrant culture, inviting cafes, and lively bars. She cherishes quality time spent with her whanau and friends, whether sharing a casual coffee, indulging in the local culinary scene or attending a rugby game. Debbie also has a deep passion for travel and eagerly anticipates future travel adventures.

Hristina Stojkovska

Client Value Manager

Hristina has been an integral part of CTM for over nine years, initially joining as a consultant and steadily advancing to the position of Client Value Manager. Throughout her tenure, Hristina has demonstrated a solid commitment to customer service, leveraging her extensive travel knowledge to enhance the overall customer experience.

She excels in cultivating robust, customer-focused relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Hristina is committed to nurturing enduring relationships with her clients, utilising her expertise and network to assist them in achieving their objectives and identifying strategies for cost reduction.

Jamie Bishop

Client Value Manager

Jamie is a seasoned professional with an extensive background in corporate travel management. Currently serving as Client Value Manager at CTM, Jamie has demonstrated exceptional client relationship management and sales skills.

With a career spanning over a decade, Jamie’s journey began at HRG Christchurch and Melbourne, where he commenced as a Corporate Short Haul Consultant in 2006. Over the years, Jamie’s unwavering dedication and proficiency have led to progression and increased responsibilities within various organisations, cementing his reputation as a reliable and skilled professional.

Renowned for his strategic mindset and consistent delivery of results, Jamie stands as a valuable asset to CTM, consistently exceeding expectations and driving success in corporate travel management.

Janine Mansfield

Client Value Manager

Janine has been in the travel industry for over 15 years, starting her career with a Global Car Rental company in South Africa before being appointed as a Travel Program Manager at Rennies BCD Travel.  Janine relocated to New Zealand and joined CTM in 2022 as a dedicated Client Value Manager.

Her journey from car rentals to her current position reflects her commitment to personal and professional growth, as well as her ability to adapt to the evolving landscape of the travel industry. Janine is characterised by her proactive approach, keen attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to client satisfaction. She thrives on understanding the unique needs of each client and providing strategic guidance to ensure their success.

Rocky Kilmartin

Client Value Manager

Rocky’s career in the travel industry began in her early years, amassing over three decades of invaluable experience. Her journey commenced as a consultant and has since evolved through various leadership roles, including team leader, country manager, and Australasian technology transformations and system implementations. She brings her wealth of expertise to the esteemed CTM Client Value Management team.

Throughout her extensive career, Rocky has worked in New Zealand, Australia, and the UK, enriching her perspective and honing her skills across diverse markets. Her tenure with CTM commenced in April 2022, marking a new chapter in her journey.

Rocky’s profound knowledge ensures clients benefit from the most effective and efficient processes for travellers and travel arrangers. Rocky’s proactive approach involves implementing and updating processes as necessary, ensuring continuous optimisation and client satisfaction.

Scott Murray

Scott Murray is a dynamic and results-driven Client Value Manager at Corporate Travel Management (CTM) with over 15 years of experience in the travel industry. With a strong background in travel management and a passion for delivering exceptional client service, Scott brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to his role.

Drawing on his deep understanding of the unique challenges inherent in corporate travel management, Scott has built a reputation as a trusted advisor to his clients. He excels in providing strategic guidance and innovative solutions to optimise travel expenditure and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Scott’s journey in the travel industry began as a travel consultant, where he honed his skills in customer service, relationship building, and attention to detail. Recognising his ability to deliver outstanding value to clients, he transitioned into account management. Here, he leveraged his expertise to proactively identify opportunities for cost savings, process enhancements, and elevated traveller experiences, and enhanced traveller experiences.

As a Client Value Manager, Scott collaborates closely with clients to discern their unique travel requisites and align their programs with overarching business objectives. Employing a personalised approach, he develops strong partnerships with key stakeholders within client organisations to understand their goals, policies, and challenges comprehensively.

Shannon Whitta

Client Value Manager

With a diverse background in the corporate realm, Shannon brings over a decade of specialised experience in the travel industry to her role at CTM, which she joined in 2021. 

Shannon’s keen analytical expertise empowers her to identify opportunities for savings and process enhancement within her clients’ travel programs. Continuously driven by the pursuit of efficiency, she is committed to assisting her clients in travelling smarter and maximising the value of their travel investment. 

Jamie Pherous

Executive Director, Managing Director

Director since May 2008

Jamie Pherous founded Corporate Travel Management Limited (CTM) in 1994. He has built the Group from its headquarters in Brisbane to become one of the world’s largest travel management companies.

Prior to establishing CTM, Jamie was employed by Arthur Andersen, now EY, as a qualified Chartered Accountant, specialising in business services and financial consulting, notably in Australia, Papua New Guinea and the United Arab Emirates.

 

James Spence

Global Chief Financial Officer

James Spence joined CTM in May 2024 as Global Chief Financial Officer. James has more than 15 years’ experience as CFO of international businesses primarily in energy and software sectors, and has operated across Australasia, North America and Europe throughout his 30+ year career. James brings broad-based financial experience across all the main disciplines within finance include strategy, risk, treasury, accounting, M&A, capital markets, investor relations and commercial decision-making with extensive board level, team leadership and public markets experience. James holds a Bachelor of Science – Economics & Politics and is a Chartered Accountant.

Eleanor Noonan

Global Chief Operating Officer

Eleanor Noonan joined CTM in August 2022 and holds the role of Global Chief Operating Officer. She has held various senior executive roles within travel, government and financial services. Eleanor is commercially driven, values focused and passionate about leading high-performance teams to support a business growth agenda. Eleanor is skilled in developing and executing customer-centric business strategies, leading large-scale change initiatives, and achieving operational excellence. Eleanor holds a Master of Business and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Ana Pedersen

Global Chief Commercial Officer

Ana Pedersen joined CTM as Global Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in 2024, where she leads the company’s global efforts to drive revenue and EBITDA growth. In this executive role, Ana oversees activities relating to global sales, account management and supplier relations by implementing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, strengthen global market presence and drive technological innovation.

With over 25 years of experience in the corporate travel industry, including global sales and hotel strategy leadership roles at BCD Travel, Ana is well-positioned to capitalise on emerging market trends and customer needs, driving significant revenue growth opportunities across the CTM Group of travel brands.

Known for her strategic vision and ability to build high-performance teams, Ana is passionate about cultivating strong global supplier relationships, implementing cutting-edge technology solutions, and fostering a collaborative corporate culture that aligns with CTM’s strategic objectives. Fluent in multiple languages, Ana is recognised for her global perspective and ability to deliver transformative results in dynamic and diverse markets.

Shelley Sorrenson

Global Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary

Shelley Sorrenson joined CTM in November 2021 as Global Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary. Shelley is a pragmatic and commercially driven corporate legal and governance practitioner with over 15 years of experience. She has served as General Counsel and Company Secretary of ASX-listed and unlisted financial services companies and held roles at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and in private practice. Shelley holds a Bachelor of Justice, Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws. Shelley is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an Associate of the Governance Institute of Australia.

 

Ewen Crouch AM

Chairman

Independent Non-Executive Director

Director since March 2019

Ewen Crouch was a Partner at Allens from 1988-2013. He served as a member of the firm’s board for 11 years, including 4 years as Chairman of Partners. His other roles at Allens included Co-Head Mergers & Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets from 2004-2010, Executive Partner – Asian Offices from 1999- 2004, and Deputy Managing Partner from 1993 – 1996. He was a Director of Mission Australia from 1995, including as Chairman from 2009, until retiring in November 2016, and served as Chairman and Non-Executive Director of AnteoTech Limited from 2022 – 2025.

Mr Crouch is a Non-Executive Director of BlueScope Steel Limited (since March 2013) and a Director of Jawun (since September 2015). He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and served as a member of the Takeovers Panel from 2010-2015, as a member of the Commonwealth Remuneration Tribunal from 2015-2019, as a Director of Sydney Symphony Orchestra from 2009- 2020 and as a Non-Executive Director of Westpac Banking Corporation from 2013 to 2019.

 

Jon Brett

Independent Non-Executive Director

Jon Brett was formerly an Executive Director of Investec Wentworth Private Equity Limited, and an executive of Investec Bank (Australia) Limited. He was previously the CEO of Techway Limited which pioneered internet banking in Australia. Jon brings extensive strategic, board and management experience to CTM, particularly in the areas of finance and corporate advisory.

Jon is currently a Non-Executive Director of Raiz Invest Limited (since November 2023). His former directorships include Godfreys Group Limited, The Pas Group Limited, Infomedia Limited, President of the NRMA and Vocus Group Limited since its listing on the ASX.

Sophie Mitchell

Independent Non-Executive Director

Sophie Mitchell has over 30 years of corporate advisory, capital markets and equity research experience. She retired from Morgans in June 2019 after over a decade as Executive Director in Morgans Corporate and, prior to this, she was Morgans’ Head of Research.

Sophie is currently concentrating on her Board roles and is a Non-Executive Director of Firstmac Limited (since November 2022), NZX-listed Tourism Holdings Limited (since December 2022), Myer Family Investments Limited (since December 2020), Morgans Holdings (Australia) Limited (since March 2018) and the Morgans Foundation Limited. She was Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Apollo Tourism & Leisure Limited from 2016-2022, a Non-Executive Director of Flagship Investments Limited from 2008-2021, a board member of the Australia Council for the Arts, and a member of the Takeovers Panel between 2009 and 2018.

Marissa Peterson

Marissa Peterson is President and CEO of Mission Peak Executive Consulting, a Silicon Valley leadership coaching business, and currently serves on the Board of US Based company Employee Owned Brands. She is based in the United States and brings extensive experience in governance, technology and digital transformation, and executive development.

Mrs Peterson holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an Honorary Doctorate in Management from Kettering University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mrs Peterson’s extensive board experience includes past roles as Chairman of optical communications solutions company, Oclaro, between 2013 and 2018, and as a Non-Executive Director of ASX-listed Ansell, from 2006 to 2021. She has also been a Director of a range of US-based companies including Humana, Supervalu, Children’s Hospital of Stanford, Quantros, Covisint, and was a Board Trustee of Kettering University.
